Qualified Mental Health Associate / Professional (QMHA/P) - Recertification
Every 2 Years
Certification renewal is required every 2 years to maintain active status.
6 Hours Ethics
Complete 6 hours of Ethics training as part of the renewal requirements.
2 Hours Suicide Prevention
Complete 2 hours of Suicide Prevention training during the renewal cycle.
40 Hours Education
Complete 40 hours of behavioral health or counseling-related continuing education.
Renewal Fee
Submit your renewal payment inside of Certemy.
QMHA & QMHP - Renewal Requirements
The QMHA & QMHP require 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
To ensure sufficient time to process your renewal packet, please submit renewal form in Certemy at least 2 weeks before expiration.
The 40 hours of continuing education must include the following. All education hours must be accredited or approved by a recognized/approved accreditation body or education provided within Oregon state approved mental health agencies. Education hours must include the topical areas of:
