MHACBO is excited to announce the launch of Endorsements - an innovative addition to our certification offerings.

Endorsements are specialized recognitions that attach directly to an existing MHACBO credential, showcasing a professional’s additional expertise in a specific focus area.

 

What Are Endorsements?

Endorsements are designed to highlight advanced skills and specialized training beyond a standard credential. Each endorsement has its own unique requirements, which may include:

Once earned, endorsements never expire independently. Instead, they are tied to the certification they enhance. As long as the underlying credential is active and in good standing, the endorsement remains valid and will renew or expire alongside that certification.

Current Endorsements: Forensic Peer

Peer Credential
Must hold an active MHACBO peer credential (CRM, CRM II, or CGRM).
Forensic Peer Course
Complete an approved Forensic Peer training course.
500 Hours Supervised
Accrue 500 hours of supervised experience in a forensic setting.
Pass Exam
Pass the Forensic Peer endorsement exam (administered as part of the application process).

Forensic Peer Endorsement Application

The Forensic Peer Endorsement acknowledges peers who have completed additional training and education to work effectively in criminal justice and forensic environments. This endorsement demonstrates expertise in supporting individuals involved in the justice system, navigating its unique challenges, and promoting recovery within these settings.
